A legacy since Independence, now making India Energy Efficient The Jakson Story

The story begins in the year 1947, when Jakson was founded by Shri Jai Kishan Gupta as an electrical trading Company. By the late 1960's his son Shri Satish Kumar Gupta had grown the business & this was year 1979, when its 1st Genset Manufacturing facility was set up. From the very beginning Jakson focused on superior quality production technologies making it the 1st manufacturer of Silent Gensets in India way back in 1998.

Mr. Sameer Gupta joined the Company is 1989 followed by his younger brother Mr. Sundeep Gupta in 1991. Shri S K Gupta passed the mantle of leadership to his sons in the year 2001 (CMD & VCMD) with resilient business & social values and both Mr. Sameer Gupta & Mr. Sundeep Gupta have taken this vision to its pinnacle by making Jakson a people-first organization.

1998-2002 had been crucial years for the Company's growth as the management had to toil very hard with all stakeholders to shape up the Company in order to meet international industry standards that included meeting many environmental norms. This gave the company a winning edge over its peers especially in 2003 when the Government mandated the use of Silent Gensets (noise pollution level of less than 75-A weighted decibels). This turned out to be a boon for Jakson as the Company was already producing sound proof acoustic enclosures since 1998.

The Company’s journey in Solar Energy began in 2012.  The Company continued with its growth path to commission its 1st IPP Plant in 2014, set up it's 1st PV module manufacturing plant in 2016 in Greater Noida and continues to develop new innovative products like the Helia Series of PV Modules which is the 1st Made in India PV module with 600Wp output and the EnerPack (Battery Energy Storage System) launched in 2021, a green energy storage solution with instant power back up.
