Neptune Industries

The Indian construction industry is booming with real estate and infrastructure developments. Businesses are transforming from small and medium-scale plants to large scale plants with larger production capacities. However, the construction industry needs to reduce its carbon emissions and manage waste more effectively to truly contribute to the country’s economic development. Here, by following circular principles, the industry can manage waste and put it to productive use (as in the construction of roads, etc.), create employment opportunities, and ultimately make a positive impact on our economic growth.

Processing industrial waste
This year, we signed a contract to commission a plant near Bellary to produce one lakh bricks per day from Iron ore tailing (IOT) / steel slag sourced from a steel plant. The brick-making plant will do crushing, mixing, pressing with a High-Density Hydraulic Press (HDP), and curing.
We also see emerging requirements for processing waste materials for reuse in the construction industry. Our plants will process steel slag iron ore tailings, mining overburden, and river-dredged materials. We are already making fly ash bricks, concrete blocks pavers and tiles, aerated autoclave blocks, lightweight aggregates, mortars, binders, dry mix mortars, adhesive grouts, and green sand.
We are also considering the possibility of using
Iron ore tailings for making anti-skid, chequered
tiles, and brick blocks.

Processing C&D waste
As part of its business expansion, Neptune is looking for plants for processing construction and demolition waste, (already installed at Delhi NCR) which could be a ready source of raw material. The C&D waste from the widespread urban redevelopments across the country can find ready use in infrastructure projects of all kinds.

Innovations
We are a leader in fly ash brick plants, concrete block and paver manufacturing plants, CSE brick plants, red clay brick-making machines, and dry mix mortar plants. Our Mega Series plants can produce from 50,000 to 40,00,000 bricks per day (1000 tons/day) We have developed advanced technologies and processes for fly ash unitization, artificial sand, green sand, and artificial aggregates-making plants through technical collaboration with our partner Our R&D team is continually working towards finding better and greener product We are executing one of the biggest projects with NTPC for making aggregates from fly ash. We have also developed a plant for converting fly ash to sand.
