PM Modi to unveil projects worth Rs 18,000 cr in Assam: CM Himanta

The chief minister said that PM Narendra Modi would inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of projects worth about Rs 18,000 crore during his two-day visit to Assam. In a press conference, the Chief Minister said that Modi will make his debut in Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO-listed heritage site, and embark on a safari.
 
He added that Modi would arrive in Assam late on Friday afternoon and spend the night in Kaziranga National Park. According to Sarma, the next day, he will unveil a statue of Ahom general Lachit Borphukan that is 125 feet tall in Jorhat. After that, he will speak at a public meeting.
 
He stated that from the venue of the public gathering, he would inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various infrastructure development projects valuing approximately Rs 18,000 crore. After the ceremony, he will depart for West Bengal, Sarma said.
